Yes, I'm serious.
THE WIEDEN AND KENNEDY.
The same agency I have admired since my BBF&E days back in the late nineties.
The same agency I desperately wanted to intern at in their WK12 program a few years ago.
(video submissions: Part 1 Part 2)
I think I am in shock. We all have career dreams, but I think we get to a point in our careers when we trade them in for what we consider reality. The dreams become impossible wishes. Life can't possibly work out as we dreamed it would, right? So we settle for what we believe we deserve.
And then, seemingly out of nowhere, my good recruiting friend Shaz asked me if I'd like to talk to W+K.
Sure. I can't phathom getting a job at my dream shop, but why not give it a shot?
And here I am, a few weeks and five phone interviews later, boarding a plane to Portland.
If this works out, so much changes. New job, new home, new experiences...
This will either be the best blog ever written, or the shortest one.
